The City of Brooklyn Park and its Economic Development Authority (EDA) are serious about economic inclusion, racial equity, and small business success. The EDA recognizes that a healthy entrepreneurial ecosystem is critical to wealth-building within the context of EDIB.

This project undertakes research and development as part of an ongoing program to provide transparent and inclusive contracting opportunities for local small businesses. It prioritizes groups that are historically underserved, under-reached, invisible, marginalized, and underestimated.

The City of Brooklyn Park EDA understands that contracting with governments and corporate procurements, along with Supplier Diversity best practices, are critical pillars of economic inclusion and a thriving economy. The EDA partnered with Paadio on the Procurement Diversity Project in early 2021 to enhance equity and diversity in doing business with BIPOC and micro/small business owners in the city.
